How to take care of your favourite pieces and delicates
We work with long lasting fabrics, shapes and trends. Pieces that are made to last, that can be worn over and over again. Clothes that are made to live in a girl’s wardrobe for years to come. We want your garments to last for years, but for them to do so, they have to be cared for with love and respect.
Wash & Care - Viscose
We advise you to always check the care instructions on the inside of the garment. If the garment is washable (most of our pieces are), wash it in the machine on a delicate wash, and not more than 30C.
Machine Wash:
We recommend that you wash your silk and viscose on a delicate machine wash, no more than 30C, with delicate (and sustainably made) wash detergent.
Drying:
It is important to mention that viscose will always shrink a bit when exposed to cold water, but when the fabric is exposed to heat, it will extend to its original form. So, steam or iron (not to hot!) your garmet, and it will get back into shape. We recommend drying pieces flat or hanging it delicately on a rail, do not dry the dresses on hangers as this can extend the fabric around the shoulders and get an unfortunate shape.
Wash & Care - Cotton
We advise you to always check the care instructions on the inside of the cotton garment.
Machine Wash:
For our cotton, we recommend machine wash on 30 or 40 degrees celcius. All depending on the particular garment.
After drying:
Iron or steam the garment to make the wrinkles go away.
Wash & Care - Wool
We advise you to always check the care instructions on the inside of the garment. If the knit is washable (most of our pieces are), wash it by hand or in the machine on a delicate wash, and not more than 30C.
Wool is a resilient natural fiber, but it’s also a delicate one, which means it has to be treated carefully. A lot of people wash their knitwear too often, keep in mind you probably should wash it more rarely than you do today! You can also hang it outside in the fresh air to be “aired out”, and it can we cleaned only on spots when needed.
Machine wash:
We recommend that you wash your wool and knitwear on a delicate machine wash or a wool-wash program, no more than 30C, with delicate (and sustainably made) wash detergent. When the machine is done, leave it flat to dry, as hanging can stretch the garment into a different form.
If the jumper has unique details such as large, heavy buttons or something similar, we recommend you use a wash bag when washing it.
Wash & Care - Polyester
We advise you to always check the care instructions on the inside of the garment. If the garment is washable, polyester is generally easy to care for and does not need to be washed frequently.
Machine Wash:
Wash on a gentle cycle at a low temperature, preferably no more than 30°C, with a mild detergent. Washing at lower temperatures also helps preserve the quality and appearance of the garment.
Drying:
We recommend air drying rather than tumble drying. Hang or lay the garment flat to dry, depending on its shape and construction. If needed, steam the garment gently to remove wrinkles. Avoid excessive heat, as polyester is sensitive to high temperatures.
Wash & Care - Silk
We advise you to always check the care instructions on the inside of the garment, as silk is a delicate natural fibre and different silk qualities may require different care. Some of our silk garments may require professional dry cleaning.
Washing:
If the care label allows washing, wash the garment gently by hand or on a delicate silk program at a low temperature, using a mild detergent suitable for delicate fabrics. Avoid soaking, rubbing or wringing the garment.
Drying:
Gently remove excess water without twisting the fabric and leave the garment to air dry. Avoid tumble drying and direct sunlight. If needed, steam carefully or iron at a low temperature to remove wrinkles.
Wash & Care - Linen
We advise you to always check the care instructions on the inside of the garment. Linen is a strong natural fibre, but gentle care will help preserve its shape, colour and quality over time.
Machine Wash:
If the garment is washable, we recommend washing linen on a gentle cycle at 30°C with a mild detergent. Avoid overfilling the washing machine, as giving the garment room to move can help reduce heavy creasing.
Drying:
We recommend air drying linen and gently reshaping the garment while damp. Avoid tumble drying when possible, as high heat may cause shrinkage. Linen naturally wrinkles as part of its characteristic look, but the garment can be steamed or ironed while slightly damp for a smoother finish.
